The fitness suite is open at varying times through out the school depending on the school term, please ring to see what times are available for daytime use. Evening and weekend fitness suite opening times can be found below.

November 2005 saw the start of exciting new opportunities to be involved in dance classes in the brand new Dance Studio at Shelfield Sports and Community College.

Susanna Westwood teaches a mixture of modern and hip hop dance to primary and secondary school aged children where they learn specific routines before learning to choreograph in groups.

Classes run on Monday afternoons and Saturday mornings:

Monday   Street Dance for Kids (age 7 - 11) 4.15pm - 5.00pm: £1.50 per session or £7.50 for 6 weeks.

Monday   Teenage Performance/ Street Dance (age 12 - 16) 5.15pm - 6.15pm: £2.50 per session or £10 for 6 weeks

Places are booked by enrollment, however if places are available then children can pay on the day. Courses run in 6 week blocks.

Shelfield Sports and Community College have a range of clubs using its facilities for sessions at evening and weekends.

These include:

Rushall TAGB Tae Kwon-Do: Tuesdays and Thursday evenings.

Bloxwich Tennis Club: Wednesday evenings during Tennis season.

Blakenall Cricket Club: Fixtures on Saturday afternoons during season, Junior coaching sessions TBA.

Shelfield School of Dance: Monday evenings.

Pelsall Saints J.F.C: Wednesday evenings.

Shelfield Table Tennis Club: Friday evenings during season.

Holy Trinity Badminton Club: Tuesday evenings during season.

If your club is looking for a new home to base its sessions, then Shelfield Sports and Community College may be just what you are looking for. Linked clubs receive support from the college by being advertised on the ‘Community’ notice board in the Leisure and Learning reception area as well as here on the School website. Here clubs can make first contact with adults or students interested in finding local clubs.

Rainbow Day Nursery is a full time professionally staffed nursery. Our baby and toddler unit accepts children up to 2 years of age, while we also have a unit for older children. The Nursery is staffed by an experienced and long serving team, led by Nursery Manager Mrs Karen Hamer.

All the staff are committed to building strong relationships with parents and the children and offering the highest standards of childcare. The aim is to develop each child to the limit of their potential through a planned programme of activities in areas laid down by the DFES as part of the National Curriculum.

Crèche facilities are also available during the school day where youngsters can be supervised to allow adults to either access adult education courses or use the various health and fitness facilities.

Partnerships have been forged with Walsall College of Arts and Technology and Walsall Community College to considerably extend the range of lifelong learning and vocational courses available at the Shelfield site. From September 2005 a wide range of courses have been available such as:
