Chapter one
Ahhhhh! Echoed the scream from beyond the shadows of the hills.
Jim’s legs ached from the cold as he pounded up the hill side, desperately
following the demented scream.
Jim stopped dead … this was one midnight
walk that had gone badly wrong. He listened … silence. The screaming had ended
as quickly as it had begun. A scream like that could only mean one thing. The
agony in that girl’s voice told Jim to run. Was it already too late?
Jim crouched down in the freezing cold; his mind racing if like
it became to sizzle. He thought: will I survive this hellish night?
Jim pushed
himself up and began to gallop bravely onwards. As if from nowhere the scream
come again, cutting through the silence night like an icy blade. With fresh deter
Jim ploughed on towards the fateful sound. The scream died upon the wind; Jim
was once again cloaked in dark silence.
As Jim reached
the summit of the hill he felt a short sharp pain, when he opened his eyes he was
looking at the ground. He had fallen down the hill.
Chapter two
As Jim came tumbling over the brow of the hill he saw it…there upon the
ground, huddled, under a dark stained coat, lying still was a figure.
He was too late! As Jim looked around he saw nobody, the night was
peaceful. Jim pulled away the cloak expecting the beautiful but deathly face of
a young woman. To be revelled.
The cold, unforgiving eyes of a hideous form stared back at Jim. Terror
rose in his very soul as the creature began to smile. The smile spelt out pure
evil and his skin reeked of death. As Jim’s petrified mind tried desperately to
make sence of his mixed up thoughts he realised with perfect clarity that it
was already too late…
The awful creature was blood red, if only Jim went back. Ahhh! The scream
came again it came from over the dark green grass.
Chapter Three
Jim dragged himself quickly over the
bushy hill. He ran towards the magenta trees. The cerise flowers were kicking
at his feet as he was, slanting to the side of the tree. I had a short sharp
pain, in my tummy has I spinted across the long green grass. The grassy hill
upon me looked steep.
